• November 3rd 1990 - Founding of the Nur-Avicenum

• January 17th 1991 – Grand opening of the Nur-Avicenum

• January 24th 1991 – Examination rooms open and a new medical model is instituted

• December 23rd 1993 – Received project grant from the USA

• October 1994 – Began public health reformation program

• February 5th 1995 – Received 2nd project grant from the USA

• December 7th 1995 – President Nursultan Nazarbaev made a personal visit to the Nur-Avicenum

• January 31st 1996 – US Ambassador Elizabeth Jones made an official visit to the hospital

• March 11th 1996 – The Minister of Health and his deputy made an official visit to the Nur-Avicenum

• September 1998 – Kazakhstani/American Cardiovascular Disease Prevention Program

• June 19th 1999 – Official visit by US Ambassador Richard Jones

• June 30th 1999 – Official visit by Swiss Ambassador Urg Kasserine

• September 25th 1999 – Grand opening of the in-patient care unit
